At the 4th edition of the AfricaSan conference, the AWF is presenting case studies based on three of its 14 urban sanitation projects that best illustrate AWF’s Urban Sanitation Framework, as detailed in its Urban Sanitation Portfolio Review paper. Particularly, these projects focus on key sustainability factors, such as public-private partnerships, financing systems, technological innovation, increasing demand, capacity building, strengthening municipal institutions, and the integration of business approaches along the value chain.
