Officials from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) water programme paid a visit at the AFDB

A delegation of 6 officials from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) Water Programme paid a visit to the AFDB Water Development and Sanitation Department. The objective of the mission was to discuss possible areas of collaboration. Among others, these include issues related to the Water development and Sanitation in general, Transboundary Water related projects (Energy, Agriculture, ...) and the preparatory work towards the World Water Forum to be held in 2021 in Senegal.

The meeting took place on 6th  June 2019 at AFDB, CCIA building in Abidjan.

First Steering Committee Meeting for the establishment of the African Urban Sanitation Investment Fund (AUSIF)

AWF supports a Niger Basin infrastructure program to strengthen climate change resilience and improve food security

Tunis, Tunisie, 31 Janvier 2014 – La Facilité africaine de l’eau (FAE) octroie un don de 960 000 euros au Secrétariat exécutif de l’Autorité du bassin du Niger (ABN), pour soutenir un programme de préparation de projets d’infrastructures à buts multiples. Ces projets aideront à freiner la dégradation généralisée des ressources naturelles, causée par le changement climatique, et à en améliorer la gestion afin d’accroître la production agricole et améliorer la résilience des populations.

Journée mondiale de l’eau : Le défi de la gestion intégrée des ressources en eau en milieu urbain

Abidjan, le 22 mars 2016 - La Banque africaine de développement, partenaire d’une rencontre organisée par le ministère ivoirien des Eaux et Forêts, a célébré la Journée mondiale de l’eau le 22 mars. La cérémonie d’ouverture a eu lieu à Abidjan, présidée par Louis-André Dacoury-Tabley, ministre des Eaux et Forêts, en présence notamment d’Anne Ouloto, ministre de la Salubrité urbaine et de l’assainissement. Facteur essentiel de développement socio-économique, l’eau est également vecteur d’emplois, et c’est sous cet angle que les participants en ont débattu.

Consultative Workshop on AWF 2017-2025 Long Term Strategy Heden Golf Hotel, Abidjan, 27-28 October 2016

This workshop will undertake close consultation with the AMCOW TAC, AMCOW EXCO, Donors, Investors, Beneficiaries and other key stakeholders to obtain broad consensus and commitment and to ensure that the AWF operational focus and areas of intervention in the draft strategy accurately reflects the AMCOW water agenda, Africa Water Vision and the Sustainable Development Goals.
